We’ve ranked 34th
At NCHA we have an ambitious development plan, and we’re delighted to have climbed eight places in Inside Housing’s Top 50 Biggest Builders for 2022.
Each year Inside Housing release housing associations’ building figures. For the year 2021/22 we’ve ranked 34th. This is a brilliant result and an impressive climb from last year’s spot at number 42.
When calculating the number of new home completions as a percentage of total housing stock, we’re thrilled to have ranked an amazing 4th; increasing our number of homes by 4.6% in a single year.
Allan Fisher, Director of Development and Assets comments: “We’re really proud to once again have been included in Inside Housing’s Top 50 Biggest Builders 2022 list. To have jumped eight places to number 34 is great recognition of the hard work and dedication of all of our teams and partners, in delivering affordable homes across the East Midlands. It’s particularly rewarding to see that even with the challenges of Covid, increasing costs and supply chain issues, we’ve still been able to fulfil our development ambitions.”
Housing associations continue to be an essential part of the solution to the current housing crisis in the UK. The top 50 builders completed 40,318 new homes in 2021/22, a big increase from 34,753 in the previous year. Collectively this group are projected to complete 233,370 new homes in the next five years.
Our aim at NCHA is to build 2,100 high quality new homes in the next five years; building across Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire and Rutland.
