Congratulations to our apprentices!

This week we’ve celebrated our recent apprentices with an event at our head office, Pelham House. We invited every colleague who has completed an apprenticeship in the last year to come along.

Apprenticeships can be taken in a huge range of topics covering all areas of our business, and much more. They offer a great opportunity to learn new skills that can be directly applied to your current role, and can help to progress your career further in the future.

Holly Dagnall, Director of Homes and Wellbeing, attended the event and offered her congratulations to everyone for their achievement. She said: “I think achieving any qualification is excellent and it shows that you’ve got a bit of grit. I know all of you have worked hard for your apprenticeship qualification and we wanted to take the opportunity to recognise that.”

We were also joined by Corrina Hembury from Access Training who spoke about her experience as an apprentice. She said: “I started as a Business Admin apprentice and took the opportunity to move into different roles within the training sector, before I joined Access Training as Managing Director. I’m proud to have started my career as an apprentice and I’m proud to be part of Access Training that supports apprentices. We support around 500 apprentices at any one time and always want to do the best for our learners. Over 90% of our apprentices remain in employment once they’ve done an apprenticeship with us.”

Everyone present who’d completed an apprenticeship received a certificate as a token of our congratulations.

Marisa, who’d completed a CIH level 3 apprenticeship in Housing and Property Management, said: “My apprenticeship in housing helped me to reveal my full potential. It gave me a boost in my confidence and the tools I needed to go back to university. I am now in my second term of year one. If you are looking to increase your confidence, learn new skills and grow within NCHA, I’d highly recommend apprenticeship.”

Congratulations everyone!
