Dealing with damp and mould
Some areas of your home are more prone to developing condensation. This tends to mostly happen in kitchens and bathrooms due to showering, cooking and other household activities. However, in cold areas or areas of little air movement this can also occur.
Condensation is the main cause of damp and mould, but there are steps you can take to prevent it.
You can:
- Keep your home well ventilated.
- Wipe away excess moisture around your home, especially on windows or doors.
- Heat your home to reduce condensation. If you’re struggling with energy costs, our advice on utility bills could help.
