Join our Big Conversation!

This autumn we’re asking customers to join our Big Conversation that goes right to the roots of who we are and what we do.

We want to know what you think on a range of topics such as:

  • What should our core purpose be (i.e. what NCHA does and why)?
  • What does an excellent maintenance and repairs process look like?
  • How can we ensure all tenants have a voice (i.e. opportunities to give feedback and influence our services)?

We’re also in the process of arranging some community events and focus groups so if you would like to know more about them you can tick the box in the survey, or keep your eye on our channels for details.

The Better Social Housing Review

Our Big Conversation has been prompted by the publication of the Better Social Housing Review in December 2022.

The review was set up by the National Housing Federation and the Chartered Institute of Housing, two of the key organisations for our sector, to tackle social housing issues in England.

They established an independent panel who reached out to those with direct experience and insights on the current quality of social housing and the issues that need to be tackled.

The 37-page review is a comprehensive look at social housing in England today. It includes seven recommendations for the sector to address.
