Keeping our communities safe

A big part of our role at NCHA is keeping the communities we support safe.

We’re committed to maintaining our neighbourhoods to ensure they are secure and healthy places for our customers to live comfortable, happy and fulfilled lives. This involves working with community members and other agencies for a joined up approach to community safety.

In 2021/22, we dealt with over 400 anti-social behavior (ASB) cases and we’re pleased to report that satisfaction with our ASB case outcomes was 77%.

Protecting customers from risk of harm

Our success in this area is testament to the dedication of our colleagues. Our priority is to be the best we can be for our customers and colleagues; we do this by always listening and striving to improve.

We work to create an environment that is supportive, inclusive and wellbeing focused that always puts the customer first, and ensures everyone receives the support they need.

Our Community Safety promise

Our Community Safety promise sets out our strategy for providing specialist high quality investigations and support in response to ASB reports and safeguarding concerns.

The plan covers areas ranging from customer satisfaction to developing a clear strategy for the use of CCTV across our housing to promote community safety and deter crime.
