Making an impact

Social impact is the effect on people and communities that happens as a result of an action or activity. Under that definition, there’s no doubt that we’ve delivered huge amounts during our long history.

We’re keen to improve on how social impact is measured, so we’ve gone back to our roots by working with HACT, one of the organisations that enabled our creation back in 1973.

In 2022 we published our first Social Impact Strategy, detailing our ambition to improve the way we deliver and measure the impact we have on local communities.
