Farnborough Road wins national RICS award

Award recognition for regeneration project

We’re celebrating national success after our Farnborough Road development in Clifton was named winner of the Refurbishment/Revitalisation category at the RICS UK Awards Grand Final, held in London on 22 October 2026. Following its double success at the East Midlands awards earlier this year, the development has now received recognition on the national stage.

Delivered by NCHA, Pelham Architects and GEDA Construction, Farnborough Road has transformed a former underused college campus into a thriving mixed-use community. The development brings together independent living apartments, supported living accommodation, our state of the art workplace and community facilities, creating opportunities for people to live, work and connect in one place.

The national award recognises the project's success in breathing new life into a derelict site while delivering lasting social value for local people. Judges praised the scheme for its sustainability, community benefit and positive impact on residents, highlighting it as an outstanding example of regeneration with purpose.

The award is a testament to the strong partnership between NCHA, Pelham Architects and GEDA Construction, whose shared vision has transformed the site into a vibrant and inclusive neighbourhood that meets a range of housing and community needs.

Paul Moat, Chief Executive at NCHA said:

“To receive national recognition from RICS is a fantastic achievement and a proud moment for everyone involved in Farnborough Road. This development demonstrates what can be achieved through strong partnership working and a commitment to creating places that have a lasting positive impact on communities. We’re delighted that the project has been recognised as a leading example of refurbishment and regeneration in the UK.”

David Partridge, Head of Pelham Architects said:

“Farnborough Road is a flagship scheme for Pelham Architects, so seeing it receive national recognition is incredibly rewarding. We’re proud of what has been achieved through collaboration with NCHA, GEDA Construction and the wider team. Having designed and delivered this exceptional regeneration project, it's particularly special that Farnborough Road is now also home to our own workplace. We work in this building every day and see first-hand the positive impact the development has had on the people and community around it.”

The success follows Farnborough Road's earlier achievement at the RICS East Midlands Awards, where it won both the Residential Development and Refurbishment/Revitalisation categories before progressing to the UK Grand Final.

We would like to thank all partners, consultants, contractors and colleagues whose contribution helped make the development a national award winner.
