What is the YouNG Network?

The YouNG Network is a collaboration between NCHA, Nottingham City Council and Places for People - working together to put young people at the centre of social housing. It’s all about real influence. We want young people in Nottingham to have a say in how housing services are designed and delivered.

By listening properly and acting on what young people tell us, we can create services that actually work - helping people keep their homes, build independence and live better lives.

Why does it matter?

Moving into and managing a tenancy can be a big step, especially for young people.

The YouNG Network helps social housing landlords to:

  • Understand the real experiences of young tenants
  • Design services that better meet their needs
  • Improve support at key moments in a tenancy
  • Build confidence, independence and stability
  • Reduce tenancy breakdown and improve long-term outcomes.
