To access support from Palmwood Court, you will usually need to be referred to us by a mental health social worker.

How we can help

We provide people with long-term accommodation, and ongoing support - this can be both in group sessions and on a one-to-one basis. We encourage everyone who lives with us to have a say in how Palmwood Court is run, and to take part in group support sessions and meetings. We'll respect your choices and privacy. Equality and diversity are important to us, and we work to make sure everyone feels included.

Everyone at Palmwood Court has their own named keyworker, and they will work with you to develop a support plan and risk assessments around your needs - we know that no two people are alike. We'll help you to maintain your health and wellbeing, develop life skills, and to live a meaningful life.

Accommodation

Palmwood Court consists of four bungalows all sat side by side. Three of the bungalows have four bedrooms, a shared walk-in shower room with WC and a separate WC, plus a communal kitchen and lounge/dining area. The fourth bungalow is a communal bungalow for everyone to come together for group activities, meetings, and events. We have plenty of garden space with patio areas outside each bungalow.

We have a car park to the front of the property, and a bike rack for residents, staff and visitors to use. We have a weekly nurse visit from our local GP surgery so that people can discuss any health issues or concerns they may have. We have great local transport links to the city centre, with buses running every couple minutes along Highbury Vale, which is two minute walk from us.

I like living at Palmwood. I find it so peaceful and quiet.
