New affordable homes for Ripley
More than 40 affordable homes have been completed off Marehay Road in Ripley, Derbyshire, with a small number still available to purchase through shared ownership.
The much needed homes are available to the local community and include a mix of one, two, three and four bed properties. Of these, 22 are for affordable rent and have been allocated to applicants on Amber Valley Borough Council’s housing waiting list. A further 19 are offered through shared ownership, helping more people take their first step onto the property ladder.
All rental homes at the development have now been allocated, with a small selection still available to buy through shared ownership. This part rent, part buy option provides an affordable route into home ownership. A show home is available to view and anyone interested is encouraged to email nchasales@ncha.org.uk to find out more.
The area is already home to a growing community, with residents praising the quality and comfort of their new homes. The homes are finished to a high-quality, affordable and energy efficient standard, designed to meet a range of local housing needs.
All homes have been built by MyPad to a high energy efficiency standard, helping to reduce both environmental impact and household running costs. The layout has been carefully designed to make the most of the surrounding space, creating an attractive and welcoming environment for residents.
Representatives from Amber Valley Borough Council and MyPad joined us at a recent event to celebrate the completion of the development. Guests were given a tour of the scheme, including a visit to the show home.
The development has been made possible through a successful funding partnership between NCHA and Homes England. It supports NCHA’s Strategic Partnership with Homes England for 2021–2028, which aims to increase the supply of affordable homes across the East Midlands.
