New affordable homes for Derbyshire Dales

NCHA support council's housing ambitions

Ten new affordable homes have been officially opened in the Derbyshire village of Brailsford, providing high-quality housing for local people.

The homes will be managed by NCHA and were delivered in partnership with Derbyshire Dales District Council and Cameron Homes. The Council secured the properties through a Section 106 agreement, with funding from the Government’s Local Authority Housing Fund.

The development of one, two and three-bedroom homes, has been designed to meet a range of local needs. Built with sustainability in mind, most of the homes have achieved an excellent Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating of A, helping residents to keep energy costs low while reducing environmental impact.

These new homes form part of a wider programme that has already created 23 new social rented homes across the Derbyshire Dales. They will provide much-needed support for individuals and families, including people at risk of homelessness and those rebuilding their lives in the UK.

NCHA has worked closely with Derbyshire Dales District Council for many years to help grow its number of affordable homes, with homes now available in communities including Ashbourne, Matlock, Bakewell and Brailsford.

These latest homes were officially opened at a special ribbon-cutting event attended by councillors, council officers and project partners.
This development highlights the shared commitment to creating more affordable, sustainable homes in rural areas, helping communities across the Derbyshire Dales to thrive.

NCHA works collaboratively with local authorities and housing organisations to help them meet their housing ambitions, providing development expertise through its in-house architects, development consultants and contract managers under Pelham.
