NCHA and Pelham have been shortlisted for two national awards at the Inside Housing, Housing Heroes Awards 2026.

The shortlist recognises both individual leadership and team excellence across the housing sector, celebrating the people and organisations making a lasting difference to communities.

Mike Price, Senior Architect: Lifetime achievement in housing

Through his leadership at NCHA and Pelham Architects, Mike has played a central role in shaping neighbourhoods across the East Midlands and contributing to the delivery of more than 10,000 high quality affordable homes.

For nearly 40 years his work has combined strong design, sustainability and a deep commitment to people and place, leaving a lasting legacy that can be seen across communities in Nottingham and beyond.

Retrofit team: Team of the year

Established in 2022, the Retrofit team is delivering one of our most ambitious programmes, upgrading hundreds of older homes to make them warmer, safer and more energy efficient. 

Over the past year, the team has exceeded every major target, helping customers reduce energy bills, improve health and wellbeing, and cut carbon emissions at scale.

Celebrating excellence

These awards celebrate the leaders, innovators and changemakers across the housing sector, and we're delighted to see both Mike’s individual contribution and the impact of our Retrofit team recognised at a national level.

Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on Monday 22 June 2026 at Manchester Central. We wish them all the very best of luck.
