Customer feedback on our strategies

In January we invited some of our customers to join us in person and via Teams to share their views on our priority business strategies, which are currently under review.

Our priority strategies are our Group Corporate Plan, Environmental Sustainability, Social Impact and Value for Money, and they outline our plans for the next five years. It’s really important to us that our customers understand and support our ambitions in these important areas.

A group of customers who live in different property types from different areas came along and took part in discussions with our Executive team about what our ambitions are, and how we plan to achieve them.

The types of things they told us included:

  • Our core purpose should continue to be providing and maintaining good quality homes
  • We should continue to deliver care and support and additional community support services to people that need them
  • It’s important that we continue to prioritise issues relating to environmental sustainability, but we need to be mindful of how the costs of the technologies impact on our overall service
  • We need to balance cost of services with quality, and we need to work hard to make sure that we’re getting good value for money.

Their valuable feedback will feed into our future plans.

One of our customers, Nicola, came along to the workshop, and it was her first experience of getting involved at NCHA. She told us: “I found it invaluable to help me regain my trust in the landlord I've had for almost five years, and to know that things that I was concerned about, are well on the way to improving.”

We thanked all of the customers who came along and promised to share the final versions of the updated strategies with them when they’re ready.

We’re looking forward to publishing them in early April.
