Living at Orchard Street
We offer a friendly and supportive environment to adults from 18 to over 65 with mental health needs.
We organise team days out and hold regular celebrations throughout the year.
At Christmas we welcome local choir groups to visit us, we enjoy plenty of delicious food and invite friends and family to join the festivities. We host similar events for Halloween, Chinese New Year and over the Easter weekend.
We also love spending time in the communal garden during the warmer summer months.
How we can help
We provide long-term accommodation and support for people with mental health needs. All residents have a named keyworker who will develop support plans with them. This will help them to stay healthy, improve their wellbeing and develop life skills.
We encourage residents to be as independent as possible, whilst getting support from us.
People can also share their views during monthly meetings and ideas for activities, improvements and meals.
Accommodation
We have 12 fully-furnished bedrooms in three separate bungalows.
This includes a shared kitchen, lounge, bathroom and toilet. We also have a communal garden, which we encourage people to enjoy, especially during the summer.
We’re close to local shops and well connected to local transport. We are a 10-minute walk away from the town centre.
Our CQC rating
We are regularly inspected by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). They publish the most recent CQC report about Orchard Street on their website.
Meet the manager, Julia
I find it very rewarding to help and support people to achieve their goals. This could be to do with their daily living tasks or a more long-term ambition.
I supervise an amazing team and together we develop care to meet all physical and emotional needs.
We have great team ethic and a warm and relaxed atmosphere here at Orchard Street.
