How we can help

At Stephanie Lodge, the intensive support we offer is targeted at people leaving a recent stay on a psychiatric ward.

You can live at Stephanie Lodge for around six months where you will have a full tenancy.

We’re trained to give advice on housing options in Nottingham City and our focus is to support you to find independent accommodation.

Support is delivered mainly on a one-to-one basis, but may include group work and activities. We can support you while you’re still in hospital and we offer up to 12 weeks of support after you leave the service.

Some people who come to Stephanie Lodge need longer term support. If that’s the case we can refer you to other appropriate services.

Everyone at Stephanie Lodge has their own named keyworker, and they will work with you to develop a support plan and risk assessments that meet your needs.

We'll help you to maintain your health and wellbeing, develop life skills, and live more independently.

We encourage everyone who lives with us to have a say in how Stephanie Lodge is run. We want you to take part in group support sessions and meetings. We like to get together for barbecues, go out to eat, have film nights, games nights and cultural celebrations.

Equality and diversity are important to us, and we work hard to make sure everyone feels included. We also respect your choices and privacy.

Accommodation

Stephanie Lodge is in Radford, close to local shops, amenities and transport links.

We have 12 self-contained fully furnished flats, which are maintained to a very high standard. Ground floor flats with wet rooms are also available for people who may have mobility issues.

There’s also a communal lounge and garden which you can use at any time. We also have an art therapist and a peer support worker who work with us on site, which people find really helpful.

Meet the manager

Hello, my name is Dave and I’m the manager at Stephanie Lodge. I helped set up Stephanie Lodge in 2013 but after nearly 10 years working at other projects returned in 2022.

One of the best things about Stephanie Lodge is the chance we get to support people with their recovery and hopefully moving on to independence in a positive way.

I think one of the big differences at Stephanie Lodge compared to some other short term housing is that everyone has a secure tenancy which can be a real step up for a lot of people.

We treat people as individuals and tailor support to your needs, which helps people to feel empowered. I really enjoy seeing someone move on to their own place after staying with us.
