What we do

We support residents to improve their wellbeing and live fulfilled lives. At Southwell Road East we want you to have your say in how you’re supported. We encourage this by working with you to develop tailored support plans around your needs.

Each customer has their own named support worker, helping them to stay healthy and live well. You can access one-to-one support or get help through group support sessions.

We want everyone to feel welcome at Southwell Road East, so being inclusive is important for us. We also encourage you to share your feedback in how our service is managed.

Our community

We’re proud to celebrate customer achievements and share their stories in Voicebox magazine. Customers get involved in community projects and several people help to organise One Fest. This is a festival that aims to break the stigma against people with learning disabilities.

Lizzie, one of customers, was a big part of our 50th birthday celebrations. Not only was her story in our exhibition at Nottingham Contemporary, she got to feature in the Notts TV special about NCHA.

Our CQC rating

We are regularly inspected by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). They publish the most recent CQC report about Southwell Road East on their website.

Lizzie Giving A Thumbs Up

Moving to Southwell Road East has changed everything in my life. I’ve been in the care system for 22 years, and the seven years that I have lived here have been the happiest of my life by far.
