New affordable homes coming to Lenton
New affordable homes coming to Lenton
Work has begun on a new development in Lenton that will provide 69 affordable homes for local people.
The scheme, located off Derby Road - known as Faraday Fields - is being delivered in partnership with Keepmoat and supported by funding from Homes England. Once complete, it will offer one‑bedroom maisonettes and two‑ and three‑bedroom family homes, helping to meet the growing demand for good‑quality, affordable housing in Nottingham.
Homes designed for the future
All 69 homes at Faraday Fields will be available for shared ownership or social rent, giving people more affordable choice and flexibility based on their circumstances. Each high-quality home will be built to high energy efficiency standards. With features such as solar panels and enhanced insulation to help keep running costs lower for residents, we expect the complete homes to be awarded EPC A energy rating.
All the homes are expected to be finished by December 2027.
Working together for local communities
This is NCHA’s first partnership project with Keepmoat, and we’re proud to be working alongside them to bring these much‑needed affordable homes to the city. We’re grateful to colleagues at Nottingham City Council for their support throughout the planning process, and Homes England for their continued investment in new affordable homes across our region.
Fran Cropper, NCHA’s New Business and Development Manager, said:
“NCHA is delighted to be delivering another high‑quality family housing scheme in the heart of Nottingham, as part of our first partnership project with Keepmoat. We’ve been providing social housing in Nottingham since 1973, and our founding principles remain the same: we’re committed to playing our part in offering housing options for the people who need them most.”
We look forward to sharing updates as work progresses at Faraday Fields.
