Helping people back to work with free training courses

At NCHA, we know that getting back into work can feel daunting, but you don’t have to do it alone. We’re proud to co-own Access Training, who offer fully funded courses designed to help you build confidence, gain new skills, and take the next step towards employment.

Access Training supports adults aged 19+ with practical, confidence-building programmes and qualifications that make a real difference. Whether you’re looking to boost your employability skills, or build your confidence, these courses are here to help.

Access Training are running regular courses. These classroom-based courses are perfect if you want to feel more confident and ready for work. You’ll also achieve an accredited qualification in Employability, designed to enhance your life skills and self-confidence.

Eligibility

You must be aged 19 or over and be unemployed and receiving benefits, or earning below £25,750 per year.

Level one employability and introduction to AI

Derby: DHA, Stuart Street, Curzon Room, DE1 2EB - Monday 2 March to Thursday 5 March 2026.

Level one employability and health and safety in construction

Nottingham: Access Training, Cawley House, NG1 1GW - Monday 19 January to Thursday 29 January 2026 or Monday 26 January to 5 February 2026.

Derby: DHA, Stuart Street, Curzon Room, DE1 2EB - Monday 2 February to Thursday 12 February 2026.

All courses are free if you meet the criteria above, so you can gain qualifications and improve your skills without worrying about cost. Courses run monthly, so if these dates don’t suit you, register your interest with Access Training for future sessions.
