EPC survey with Eco Approach
Over the next couple of weeks, our contractor Eco Approach will be contacting some customers to arrange a time to complete an EPC survey of your home.
What’s an EPC survey?
We have a legal requirement to review Energy Performance Certificates (EPC) every ten years for NCHA homes. ‘EPC’ is the rating given to how energy efficient a home is (‘A’ being most efficient to ‘G’ as least efficient).
If you’re contacted, it means your EPC certificate is due for renewal. If the survey results in a new rating below EPC band C, you may be eligible for free energy efficiency improvement works to bring your home up to this standard.
What will happen
If you need this survey, you’ll receive a text message from Eco Approach. It’ll give you a choice of several dates to choose from. If you receive this text message, please confirm by replying to the text with your preferred timeslot.
If none of the dates work for you, there’ll be a phone number to call included in the text so you can arrange a time that is better for you.
What does the survey involve?
Eco Approach will look at things such as the property’s windows, doors and loft insulation (etc.). It should take no longer than an hour to complete.
They’re not concerned with how tidy or clean your home is, so please don’t worry about that.
By better understanding your home’s energy efficiency, we can look to find ways to reduce your bills and carbon missions to help save the planet, too.
The Eco Approach team will have an ID badge and a letter of authority from NCHA, so you know they’re genuine. Thanks for your support.
