Meeting new housing standards
Supporting training and qualifications
As a proud co-owner of Access Training alongside Future Housing Group, we’re committed to helping the housing sector meet the new professional standards set out in the Social Housing (Regulation) Act 2023.
At NCHA, we believe that people are at the heart of good housing. That’s why we’ve invested in Access Training, to ensure that organisations across the East Midlands and beyond have access to high-quality training, CIH-accredited qualifications, and sector-specific apprenticeships that support both compliance and long-term career development.
Supporting the new professional standards
Housing providers must ensure their senior staff are qualified to Level 4 or 5, or are actively working towards it. This is a vital step in strengthening the sector, building public trust, and improving outcomes for residents.
We’ve recently launched a new video, featuring Corrina Hembury, Managing Director at Access Training, in conversation with our Chief Executive Paul Moat and Helena Thompson from Futures Housing Group. Together, we explore the importance of upskilling the workforce, how the sector is responding to the new regulations, and why now is the time to invest in people.
Watch the video and find out how we’re working together to shape the future of housing.
