It’s National Apprenticeship Week 2026
This week is National Apprenticeship Week, which aims to celebrate the value, benefit, and opportunity that they bring, both for the apprentices themselves and the organisations that they work for.
NCHA has a strong track record for providing apprenticeships on a range of topics, including housing, social care, property maintenance trades and business administration. Our apprenticeships can be offered both as new vacancies to colleagues joining the business, and existing colleagues who want to develop their knowledge.
We work closely with Access Training, who we part-own, to deliver many of our apprenticeships. They support over 1,000 learners each year and boast 100% employer satisfaction.
The theme for National Apprenticeship Week 2026 is ‘Skills for life’. This theme highlights how apprenticeships equip individuals with essential skills and knowledge for fulfilling careers, while helping businesses develop a future-ready workforce.
Apprenticeships at NCHA
At NCHA, the number of apprenticeships we run across the business is increasing year on year:
• In 2025, we ran 61 apprenticeships across the business (up from 56 in 2024)
• We have two dedicated staff members providing support to our apprentices.
• We offered 17 different apprenticeship programs, ranging from Adult Care Worker to Property Maintenance Operative.
• Our most popular apprenticeships was in Adult Care Work level two
• 60% of our apprentices were female, and 40% were male.
• Our apprentices range in age from 17 to 55, proving it’s never too late to learn and grow.
• We provide opportunities from Level 2 entry-level apprenticeships all the way to Level 7 qualifications for more experienced colleagues.
