Celebrating Apprenticeships
We’re thrilled to celebrate the success of three colleagues who have been shortlisted at the 2025 Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Apprenticeship Awards!
Their achievements shine a spotlight on the incredible opportunities apprenticeships offer, whether it’s launching a new career, developing skills, or growing through mentoring and leadership.
It’s a proud moment for NCHA - a celebration of individual excellence and a reflection of our wider learning culture. Each of our shortlisted colleagues has made a real difference, to NCHA and to the communities we serve.
Meet our shortlisted stars
Rosie Deegan:
Rosie recently completed her Property Maintenance Operative Level 2 apprenticeship with Access Training. Her passion for the role, advocacy for women in construction, and determination to overcome dyslexia truly impressed the judges, earning her a Special Recognition Award.
Suzanna Locke:
Suzanna uses her learning directly in her Community Safety role, improving the service our customers receive. She’s recently completed her Level 3 in Housing and Property Management, and immediately signed up for the ASB and Community Safety Officer Level 4. Her commitment to learning and impact on the community were also recognised with a Special Recognition Award.
Angela Chamberlain:
Angela leads and mentors our Property Maintenance Operative Level 2 apprenticeship programme. From recruitment through to post-apprenticeship support, she goes above and beyond to help apprentices succeed and believe in themselves. Her apprentices say they wouldn’t know what to do without her … and we couldn’t agree more!
At NCHA, we’re proud to offer a range of apprenticeship opportunities that help people grow, thrive, and build meaningful careers.
Delivered in partnership with Access Training, our programmes support both new starters and existing colleagues to develop their skills and confidence.
