Support housing changing lives

By Colette O'Neil, Assistant Director for Care and Support

Today we celebrate Starts at Home Day, and the incredible outcomes that supported housing delivers.

At NCHA we offer supported housing across the East Midlands to people living with long-term mental ill health, those experiencing homelessness, survivors of abuse, and both older and young people in need of support.

We’re proud of the positive outcomes that our services deliver to those who live in our homes.

We regularly seek feedback from our customers to ensure we’re supporting them in the best way possible, and conduct a survey each year.

Our supported housing customers tell us:

In 2025:

·         99% of supported housing customers are happy with the support they receive

·         98% of supported housing customers think that NCHA does a good job

·         97% of supported housing customers feel that they get to make decisions and choices about the support they receive

·         99% of supported housing customers feel that staff listen to them

·         99% of supported housing customers feel that staff treat them well

We’re delighted with this positive endorsement of our services and the people that deliver them.

We’re sharing these customer survey results as part of our contribution to the National Housing Federation’s Starts at Home Day – a day to celebrate the incredible contribution of supported housing. Find out more on the Starts at Homes website.
