NCHA Sales - coronavirus disruption
Buying a home
If you've already agreed to purchase a new home with us, we'll keep you updated on progress. If your new home is still under construction, we'll pass on updates from the builder as we get them.
We will arrange to visit your property before completion to take meter readings, and contact you by phone on or before completion date to set up a direct debit for your rent and service charge. We will arrange a key handover with you which ensures social distancing is maintained.
We can make arrangements for you to view properties, in line with government guidance on safety. In most cases this will mean that we'll open a property for you to go in and look around, but we won't come in with you. Before a viewing, we'll ask you whether you or anyone you live with has symptoms of coronavirus.
Shared ownership: increasing your share
We can still process requests from people who want to buy more shares in their home, but there may be delays in arranging valuations. If you have already started the stair-casing process, we'll continue to process this for you - but here there may be delays in getting documents signed.
Right to Acquire
We're still able to process request from people who want to use the Right to Acquire their NCHA home - but as above, there may be delays in arranging a valuation and getting documents signed.
