We’re climbing the ranks

Inside Housing shows which housing associations are building the most homes. We are proud to have ranked higher than previous years after completing 347 new homes in 2020-2021 bringing our total number of homes to 9,903.

Our build programme has secured us 42nd position, climbing up two positions from 44th which we have held for the last two years.

Allan Fisher, Director of Development and Assets comments: “We are delighted to have been mentioned again in Inside Housing’s Biggest Builder list and to have increased our overall position. The last year has been unusual for everyone, but we have been able to navigate our way through the Covid-19 pandemic to continue building new homes and communities for the East Midlands and be recognised as one of the largest builders for the housing sector.”

We continue to design, develop and build homes for all tenures to meet the housing need across Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire and Rutland. Our target is to increase the amount of high quality new homes for people across the East Midlands from 1,457 in the last five years to 2,100 by 2026.

Housing associations are an essential part of the solution to the current housing crisis in the UK but it won’t surprise many that the Covid-19 pandemic has slowed down many developments. Inside Housing’s report reveals that the top 50 builders developed just over 34,753 homes in 2020/21 compared to 40,681 in the previous year.
