Fundraising for Crisis
In April we’re are hitting a big milestone … our 50th anniversary!
To mark this special anniversary our colleagues are taking part in an exciting challenge, ‘Golden Miles. Throughout April, they’ll be setting themselves targets in running, cycling, walking, swimming (etc.); all in support of a very meaningful cause.
All money raised will be going to Crisis. As a homelessness charity, Crisis work directly with thousands of homeless people every year, and are very much aligned with our own mission. We want to raise as much money as we can for them.
What are our colleagues doing to show their support
If you follow our Just Giving page you can see some examples of what challenges our colleagues are setting themselves in April. For example a group of colleagues will be cycling a route of 50 miles, they will start in Clifton, stop in Newark for a break then head back to Clifton.
Some are taking part by going on 5- 10 miles walks or hitting 5 thousand steps a day, one colleague has said “It’s a great challenge as it allows those who are less mobile in the team for whatever reason to still take part, so we’re raring to go!”
How can you support us?
The simplest way is through a donation to our Just Giving page.
Just £10 could provide a warm welcome to a person taking their first steps out of homelessness, whilst £32 could help fund one-to-one specialist coaching in housing, benefits, wellbeing and work. Every penny counts!
Thank you for your support
