£800k to make our homes more energy efficient

We’ve been successful in our bid to the government’s Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund.

The fund was established to help housing providers complete energy efficiency upgrades to older homes. The first round of funding has been made available to local authorities and housing associations across the UK.

As a member of the Midlands Net Zero Hub, a consortium of local authorities and housing associations, we submitted a joint bid for £14.9m. It’s great to know that this bid has been successful!

We’re delighted that our portion of the funding, over £800k, will support our decarbonisation project. The money will support us to make some of our customers’ homes more efficient, helping them to stay warm, affordably.

We’ll be identifying homes for these upgrades soon, and will contact affected customers with details of the works.
