A job that works for you
Enoch works at Watcombe Circus, where we support people with learning disabilities.
He started at NCHA a while ago, helping people with personal care, daily tasks and emotional wellbeing. He volunteered for some time before joining us, but wanted to work in social care because he “likes helping people”.
“I like to make people feel happy”, Enoch says. “I really believe that you should treat people as you’d want to be treated. Everyone should be treated as a human being. So that’s what I do in my job every day.”
We pride ourselves on giving colleagues a good work life balance. It’s one of the things that appealed to Enoch when choosing a career in social care: “The flexibility we get in our job is really good. My job can fit around my life and I still can pick my kids up from school.”
He’s currently completing his Care Certificate and spoke about the training support NCHA has given him. “NCHA support you with training when you start. You also get to do other things like Business Admin courses.”
