Training and support

We're committed to making sure our customers get all the support they need to have their say on NCHA and its services. We also want to help them access training opportunities so that they can develop the sorts of skills valued by employers.

Training

NCHA offers a range of courses to its employees and customers - contact us to find out more. We can also help you access courses provided by TPAS, which is an organisation that works to encourage customer involvement in social housing. Where courses involve travel and other expenses, NCHA can help.

Access Training is a work-based learning provider based in the East Midlands. They provide apprenticeships and other training programmes to learners of all ages (subject to funding eligibility). NCHA is an investor in Access Training, and they can help you develop your skills and increase your chances of success when applying for work.

Free online courses

Lots of organisations offer high-quality online training these days. We suggest you have a look at these websites:

  • Future Learn - a huge range of free online courses in everything from healthcare and business to IT and languages
  • Learn My Way - this is a great place to start if you want to develop your digital skills (or help a friend/family member understand how to get online).

Work experience

If you'd like to gain real-world work experience in social care, maintenance, housing services, IT or any of the other areas NCHA covers, we might be able to help.
