Spinning an artistic web

Nottingham Community Housing Association (NCHA) has developed an idea originating from service users to create a website showcasing their creative talents. The online gallery featuring artwork, poetry and music, reflects NCHA’s commitment to its service users’ Better Lives Strategy.

Service users were encouraged to participate in the development and design of the website. They can now upload artwork onto the website to share with staff, family and other service users. The website offers service users an alternative way of expressing themselves and their creativity.

Website creator, Will Burchell, Project Manager from NCHA’s Housing with Care and Support department, worked with service users to develop the idea and designs,
The site has received widespread praise from both service users and stakeholders alike. In the future, we hope to be able to pass the site over to a team of service users to independently edit, update and maintain”.
