Airfield brings affordable homes to Ashbourne

Details of much needed affordable homes for Ashbourne will be on display at Ashbourne Leisure Centre on the 4th and 5th of May.

 

Staff from Nottingham Community Housing Association and Derbyshire Dales District Council will be available on Friday and Saturday to deal with enquiries.  As well as displays of the development, the staff will be able to give information about how to apply for the properties and the Home-options scheme, plus advice on shared ownership. 

 

The new development will offer 38 homes for rent and 41 homes for shared ownership.  The first 15 rented units are just ready for occupation and the rest of the development will follow up to the end of the year. 

 

The shared ownership is a part rent, part buy scheme for first-time buyers where they can purchase a 50% share of the homes. Preference for shared ownership will go to applicants who are on the council or NCHA’s waiting lists and to existing tenants.
