Sign-up success for North Notts housing scheme

Nottingham Community Housing Association’s (NCHA) Cobwell Road project is celebrating the sign up of it’s 100th tenant.

To celebrate this important milestone for the project, project supporters, stakeholders and former tenants will attend a party at Cobwell Road on Wednesday 11th July 2007.

The Cobwell Road project based in Retford, Nottinghamshire, provides supported housing for homeless 16 – 25 year olds. Tenants are given access to training and educational programmes, along with social activities and full support package to encourage independent living.

One of the scheme’s tenants commented:
“I think it is great and helps you become more independent, get yourself back on track with an education”.

Established in 2000, the project aims to provide a secure and stable environment to support vunerable young people. The recruitment of their 100th tenant symbolises the success of the project and their valuable work with young people in North Nottinghamshire.
