First Housing Association to join Homelink
Nottingham Community Housing Association (NCHA) is the first Housing Association in the city to join the Nottingham HomeLink choice-based lettings scheme.The first NCHA properties will appear on the HomeLink website from Friday 13th October and in the HomeLink advert in the Nottingham Evening Post rented property guide on Monday 16th October.
NCHA is also the first Association to advertise properties in both Nottingham and the surrounding boroughs of Broxtowe, Erewash, Gedling and Rushcliffe through the HomeLink system.
The scheme means that the public are able to apply for vacant properties by responding to advertisements placed in the Nottingham Evening Post or directly using the Nottingham HomeLink website.The system has many benefits including giving tenants a greater choice of properties across the area from a range of housing providers.
Nottingham HomeLink has simplified the process oflooking for affordable housing in Nottingham. Applicants need only apply to HomeLink to have the choice of applying for properties from a range of housing providers across the whole of greater Nottingham using the HomeLink advert in the Nottingham Evening Post or directly on the HomeLink website.
Applicants can bid through the HomeLink website at www.nottinghamhomelink.org.uk or through the automated telephone system on 0845 338 1988. Bids close at 11.59 pm on Wednesday for each weeks advert and applicant shortlists for properties are produced the following day. Applicants can expect to hear if they have been successful in their bids on the Thursday and Friday following closing of the advert.
