£56.4 million for affordable homes
05/04/2006

A new consortium has just received £56.4million of Government funding to build over 1,300 homes in the next two years.

Nottingham Community Housing Association and Longhurst Group will head up the consortium of 16 members comprising housing associations from ten counties across Central England.  The majority of the new homes will be for affordable rent with around one quarter for low cost sale.

Led by Longhurst Group and NCHA, both of whom have excellent development and delivery track records, the consortium is responding to the Government’s drive to create more affordable housing through lower costs and economies of scale.
