Celebrating communities that work

We’re supporting the Communities That Work campaign, backed by 24housing with a view to raising awareness on the work that the social housing sector does to help people into employment.

To show our support, we recently had a quick catch up with Jeanette one of the participants in our WorkWise employability programme.

How did WorkWise help you?

“WorkWise helped me to get a better job with a good organisation. I was on a zero contract on minimum wages with no job security.”

What do you do now?

“I am now a support worker working in a mental health project.”

What is the best thing about your job?

“Supporting people back into the community.”

Would you recommend WorkWise to other NCHA customers?

“Yes, I would recommend anyone I know to get involved with WorkWise.”

So far with the WorkWise programme, we’ve engaged with over 50 customers, working across the East Midlands, with eight customers in part time or full time work and we’ve helped four customers into a job with NCHA.
