Building our future

Keeping our position as one of Inside Housing’s top 50 biggest builders in the UK.

We’re committed to developing and building new homes for people in our communities who need them. In the last financial year we built almost 300 new homes by investing £35.8M of our money and £3.6M of government grant.

This build programme has secured us 44th position for the second year in a row in Inside Housing’s Top 50 Biggest Builders for 2019

Allan Fisher, Director of Development and Assets comments: “Building new homes and communities for the East Midlands is a key part of what we do at NCHA. I’m delighted that our build programme has kept us in 44th position for the second time.”

Over the next five years we’re aiming to deliver 2,100 new homes whilst also contributing to the delivery of an additional 1,000 homes for external organisations. We will design, develop and build homes for all tenure to meet the housing need across Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire and Rutland.

By 2024 we plan to increase the number of homes we manage to over 10,000, with help from our new strategic partnership with Homes England

Housing associations are an essential part of the solution to our current housing crisis. Inside Housing’s report reveals that the top 50 builders developed just over 38,000 homes in 2019, a significant contribution to the government’s aspiration of 300,000 new homes a year.
