NCHA employs its own staff to carry out repairs and maintenance in your home. This enables us to carry out repairs quickly and efficiently, improving the service that we give to tenants.

Direct Maintenance Services (DMS) has a 20 strong workforce and is made up of plumbers, joiners and gas engineers. These tradesman are supported by office staff and a storeman.

• the dms team carry out responsive maintenance repairs and also provide an out-of-hours emergency service.
• ncha stock specialist materials as well as sourcing parts/new materials, increasing our response time to jobs.
• our in-house relet team provide a quick turnaround when preparing vacated properties for new tenants.

• a dedicated team of gas service engineers ensure that all gas and solid fuel heating appliances in ncha homes are serviced once a year.
• this service enables us, together with information from the stock survey, to identify properties with partial heating and inefficient appliances for upgrading.
• gas breakdown engineers respond to reports of gas escape or fumes, as well as repairing and replacing gas appliances.
