We are looking for Support Workers to provide Supported Living Services in the Burton Latimer area.

This Supported Living Service is a new project, providing excellent opportunity for caring, professional and enthusiastic people to work with individuals who are moving into supported living and entering a new chapter of their lives.

The role:

  • You will help vulnerable people to live fulfilling and independent lives, and play their part in the local community. Your role will include supporting individuals to build their skills and develop new abilities to live ordinary lives.
  • The support will include developing skills to live at home in a safe environment: keeping the home clean, keeping on top of bills, understanding benefits, maintaining health and safety in the home, personal care routines and laundry care
  • The support you provide will also include providing support in local communities: using local amenities like shops, GP and post offices, build confidence with managing money while out shopping, developing budget plans and planning for the future.
  • A large element to the role will be supporting individuals to cope and manage their lives the way they want it, built around their needs. You will encourage positive risk taking and simply be there to talk through issues as when they happen.
  • Full and free training and development will be given to the right candidates.

The benefits:
  • Salary £15,695 to £18,3 00 (£8.15 to £9.51 per hour)
  • Time + 1/3 for unsocial hours (10pm-7am) and double time for Christmas and New Year's day (Successful candidates will be required to work on a shift basis over a 24 hour period including weekends, bank holidays and sleep ins; for which a separate additional allowance of 33% of the salary will be paid)
  • 36.5 days annual leave, inclusive of Bank Holidays
