Nottingham Community Housing Association will be at the Help to Buy Midlands show

A free event is coming to Derbyshire to help people struggling to get on, or move up, the property ladder.

On Saturday 20 October, the Derby Conference Centre on London Road will play host to the Help to Buy Midlands show. It will bring together a wide range of experts who can provide first-time buyers, growing families, downsizers and those looking to relocate, with information on the government schemes that can help them into their ideal home.

NCHA will be attending to promote our shared ownership properties available on new developments currently being build in Matlock, Brailsford and Littleover.

Margaret Snook, Head of Help to Buy Midlands said: “I would encourage anyone who is thinking seriously about buying a home to come along to the show. Whether they are looking to purchase outright, or on a shared ownership basis, they can take advantage of the free guidance and financial help that is on offer.”

The show which runs from 10am to 3:30pm will also feature a Mortgage Advice Zone, where visitors can meet with an advisor on a one-to-one basis for a free financial assessment.

Entry to the show is free and exhibitors will include house builders, housing associations, mortgage providers and solicitors. The previous show, held in Derby in 2017, attracted more than 500 visitors.

It is advised that if you do want to attend that you register in advance for tickets at www.helptobuymidlands.co.uk

Since its launch in 2013, the Help to Buy Equity Loan scheme has enabled approximately 150,000 people to fund the purchase of their new-build property – with eight out of 10 being first-time buyers. It has also been of real benefit to the troubled property market, increasing the housing supply in the UK consecutively for the last four years.
