We know that young people who are homeless, vulnerably housed or leaving care of a local authority can be one of the most challenging service user groups to work with. They offer challenges that require a high level of expertise in providing care and support to ensure that they receive the same chances as everyone else to succeed.
Housing with Care and Support has built up it’s expertise over the years by working in successful partnerships, providing a customised service which meets the needs of young people across the East Midlands. We aim to provide service users with opportunities to acquire skills that will enable them to live independently, maximising access to education, employment and training.
Our Young Person’s Award Scheme (YPAS) is City & Guilds programme designed by the Foyer Federation and the Learning and Skills Council. It is run in conjunction with Broxtowe College of Further Education in Nottingham and is available to any NCHA Supported Housing service user between the ages of 16 and 24.
