services within Housing With Care and Support. Since 2004, we have looked at new and innovative ways to involve, consult and engage with all service users and have developed a much more Person Centred approach.
Person Centred Services, or PCS as it is better known, is directly linked to the Better Lives Vision and Strategy which is set out by the Head of Housing with Care and Support. It is key to ensuring that the work we do is being directly influenced by the people we work for - our service users!
We have identified key individuals who, alongside service users have applied their time and talent to lead the various facets of Better Lives and Person Centred Services, to help ensure that the Core PCS Principles are met:
- To ensure that service users are placed at the centre of all strategic and procedural development
- To develop a totally inclusive approach for all service user groups, regardless of individual abilities or differences and in accordance with individual needs and aspirations
- To ensure that staff are motivated and engaged in all of the different strands of PCS (see "Who Is Involved") and that we tap into the extensive skills and expertise of our staff and external partners
- To effectivly promote and communicate all PCS and Better Lives initiatives, activities and opportunities
