Nottingham Community Housing Association developed a new and separate Housing & Property Management Team (H&PM) over five years ago to create a dedicated and specialist service that provides a housing management service and also a specific function that looks after the property. These specialist staff are experienced in meeting the different housing needs of a wide range of service users.
Our aim is to provide a quality housing and property management service, through a person centred approach in order to meet the housing need of the people that live in the accommodation we manage.
We provide a specialist housing management service for individuals who need additional support to help them manage and sustain their accommodation. Our services include:
- Managing tenancies
- Voids and re-lets
- Income collection and monitoring
- Rent collection and arrears recovery
- Dealing with Housing Benefit
- Provisions of Housing Services
- Repairs and property maintenance
- Culturally sensitive services for people from BME communities
We work closely with support providers, including our own directly managed services, to provide housing and property management services to a range of different needs. We also work in partnership with a diverse number of support provider organisations, where we provide specialist housing and property management services designed to meet the specific needs of the service users.
Every service user has a named Housing Officer who looks after the day-to-day housing management of the accommodation, and a named Property Management Officer who manages and monitors the provision of housing services to the accommodation.
