Energy and Environmental Services
NCHA is committed to maximising energy efficiency and promoting environmental sustainability in its work. To demonstrate this commitment NCHA has produced a Sustainability Strategy. This is an association-wide strategy with a set of objectives and actions for each department aimed at delivering sustainability in the work of the Association. It is the driver for improving NCHA’s environmental performance. It is geared towards the nature and scale of the environmental impact of the Association’s activities, products and services. Energy Certificates
These will be required for all houses. The national study looks at ways of utilising the certificates to encourage greater energy efficiency and carbon savings, NCHA is one of the lead housing associations in this study.
The Association has also been instrumental in the development of the following products:
- Energy Services Directory - A definitive guide for those in social housing wishing to develop or expand their energy services.
- Pathways to PV (Photovoltaics) - A step by step guide to the development of a PV scheme in a social housing organisation.
