Development
The Development Department is responsible for one of the largest programmes of activity in the East Midlands, having provided on average 200- 250 new homes each year since NCHA was founded in 1973.
Working in close partnership with Local Authorities, the Housing Corporation, developers and our own in-house design and contract management team; the Development Department supplies property acquisition and development services to NCHA, its subsidiaries and partners. A wide range of projects are taken from inception through to completion including new build, rehabilitation, general needs and supported housing plus ancillary accommodation, such as shops, offices and play facilities.
In 2004 NCHA become a preferred partner of the Housing Corporation, ensuring our continued focus on development, providing high quality affordable housing across the East Midlands.

Interested in living in a future development
Please be aware that the following information applies if you are looking generally or have a particular development in mind. If you are looking for social housing, rented accommodation please see you local authority housing department and request to be put on their nomination list. For Shared Ownership please write to our Property Management Services department and request to be put on the list for details.
Selling/ renting your house
As an Registered Social Landlord (RSL) we are only awarded grant for particular projects in defined locations. If you would like to sell or rent your house to an RSL we recommended that you first contact you Local Authority Housing Department who will be able to provide you with a list of RSLs with required funding in your area.
Selling your Site/ Development
If you have a site or Development that you think we may be interested in we recommend that you send through a site plan and details to the development department, where the relevant Development and New BusinessManager will be able to view the site / property potential and contact you to discuss the proposal further.
