Synopsis
The scheme consists of four newly built houses; two shared ownership and two rented, for the local community. High efficiency ground source heat pumps have been installed and supply all the hot water and heating required. The heat pumps, along with the highly insulated structure, will considerable reduce the running costs for tenants, as well as reduce CO2 emissions to each property.
The façades are constructed from locally soured natural stone and wet dash render. Painted double glazed timber windows have a ’low e’ coating to help reduce heat loss.
