Synopsis
A scheme won in competition to design accommodation for older tenants, the aim was to keep fuel bills to under £1 per week.  This was achieved by using Masonite timber frame construction and 150mm recycled newspaper insulation; passive stack ventilation and gas condensing boilers. A glazed communal entrance serves as a heat buffer.
